It seems that every time we turn around another holiday is right around the corner. When the holiday season rolls around, many people celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and other amazing related holidays. Then a week later it's New Year’s Eve and we have another incredible party to attend! Blink your eyes twice and six weeks have passed. Guess what? It’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow. Time to go to another fun-filled and exciting party.

Candy buffets are an amazing trend that started in the wedding industry. But this type of attractive display has snowballed and now you can find candy displays at birthday parties, Halloween parties, Valentine’s Day parties, Christmas parties, and so much more.

What does this mean? It means that if you want to keep up with the times and stay trendy, you’ll have to create a beautiful candy buffet for the next big event that you host.

Are you ready to take the challenge? Or are you scared to death that you’ll get it wrong? We’re here to help and we’re happy to do so. We’ll tell you how to put together the best candy buffet possible for any and all occasions. And when you’re ready, we recommend visiting www.sweetservices.com to fulfil all of your bulk candy buying needs.

What’s the Next Big Occasion?

Before you ever even consider buying supplies for your candy display, you have to think long and hard about the big occasion and party that you are about to throw.

As an example, let’s say you’re going to have a party for your daughter’s seventh birthday. Since she is a huge fan of the American Girl dolls, you’ve decided to throw an American Girl themed party for her and her friends and family members.

This is where things could get tricky. Your candy buffet needs to match the American Girl color scheme and other party decorations. In this instance, it’s best to buy the American Girl themed party decorations first to see the overall color palette.

After a quick search on Amazon, we’ve discovered that many American Girl party supplies use the colors pink, green, and blue. So, you’ll need to buy candy according to this color scheme to create the perfect themed candy buffet.

How Much Candy Should I Buy for the Candy Buffet?

Many people get tripped up now because they either buy too little candy or too much. According to candy industry standards, it is recommended that you buy 8 ounces of candy per guest, no more and no less.

If your daughter invited 10 guests to her birthday party, then your candy buffet should have 5 pounds of candy. If that seems like too little and you don’t mind splurging, then feel free to create a huge, mammoth buffet that will be the talk of the town for years to come. Just know that you’ll have plenty of leftovers when all is said and done!

Creating an Amazing Candy Buffet

Now that you’ve determined the theme of the party and have figured out how much candy you need, it’s time to buy supplies for your buffet.

For starters, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from as far as candy is concerned. Rock candy is beautiful when on display in a buffet. Chocolates are always a fun and exciting treat. Pick wisely and choose tasty candy that is also attractive to look at when on display.

Finally, buy plastic or glass dishes to present the candy in a buffet style. This way everything is clear and easy to see. Plus, it’s a lot more attractive this way.

Use this guideline to create the ultimate candy buffet for every occasion.
