Petite Namaste Honors The Beauty of Tradition In All Their Pieces!

I received the Damask Dohar blanket at no cost to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

Growing up we all had our “favorite” items. Whether it be a teddy bear or a soft and cuddly blanket, they all helped us drift off to sleep or keep a smile on our face. When I was a tiny tot, I had this little green blanket that was my go-to sleep choice. I wanted to get my daughter something that she would love and cherish as I did that little green blanket and boy, did I find it! I am honored to partner with Petite Namaste to tell you all about their amazing company and their beautiful pieces.

Petite Namaste has beautiful bedding, pillows, swaddles, bibs, and so much more that are sure to make you swoon. All their products are hand block printed on 100% cotton fabrics where skilled craftsmen use carved blocks to stamp the fabric by hand! This is such an amazing and interesting way to make original pieces that are as individual as you are. Hand block printing is a lengthy process that must be done by skilled craftsmen as this requires you to be very precise. I had the privilege of receiving their stunning Damask Dohar blanket to review. Upon first sight, I thought it was even more beautiful in person. The color is feminine and the fabric is soft to the touch. The blanket is made of 3 layers, where the middle layer is the hand block printed fabric and the outer layers allow the design to show through. I read that with every wash the blanket gets even softer, which actually makes me excited to do a load of laundry. Woah!

These blankets are a generous size (42” x 42”) and perfect for a number of uses. Not only are they great for a sleep blanket, but my daughter loved using hers to play on. She laid her blanket out and read her books on it, while the next minute she enjoyed playing a silly game a peek-a-boo! Other great uses would be for a stroller cover, or even using it for the all important tummy time.

The beauty in the traditional skill of this blanket is something truly amazing and I am thrilled to see my daughter enjoying her blanket. Sure, she doesn’t understand the craftsmanship needed to make something like this, just yet, but she loves it and knows it is just for her. It’s beginning to look like she found her very own “green blanket”.
