Now that you are engaged, it's time to go wedding band shopping! Let the fun begin!
Shopping for wedding bands doesn't have to be stressful, expensive or time-consuming. You can easily shop from the comfort of your own home. There are so many styles to choose from that it can be very helpful to see a whole bunch of options in front of you, without the added pressure of a salesperson. That way you can take your time and really get a feel for what's right for you.
Always remember the 4C's when diamond ring shopping. The concept of the 4Cs was established in the 1940s by Robert M. Shipley, the founder of the GIA. The 4Cs stand for Diamond Color, Clarity, Cut, and Carat Weight. I wrote an article on it here to help you.
If you love to wear jewelry, you want your stunning new ring to stand out but also look and feel like you. So, here are some quick tips for styling your wedding band.
Stack it
Stackable rings are all the rage and have been for some time. They come in many different styles and designs; you will have endless options. You can even buy premade stacks or look at pictures where jewelry makers feature ring stacks, and you can pick and choose your favorites.
Always remember, if you choose a metal that is a similar color to your wedding band and engagement ring, it will fit right in.
Another great thing to keep in mind is that if you have a range of stones like baguette diamonds, round semi-precious stones, and square cut, you can bring a lot of interest and texture to the look.
Most importantly have fun with it and pick pieces that you love.
Nails
You don’t need a full set of
acrylics, but for the first few weeks of having your wedding band, your hands
will be the subject of much conversation.
Keeping your nails clean and even and applying a coat of nude polish will give your hands a finished and put-together look. Perfect for complementing your new, favorite accessory and you will be picture-ready!
Getting married is a beautiful, momentous occasion and will be a day that you can look back on fondly. Wishing you and your partner health, happiness and beautiful moments.
