Guidecraft Grippies - The Perfect STEM Toy For Your Growing Toddler!

I love the new concept of learning called STEM. I think it’s a great way to introduce our children at a young age how to incorporate the importance of learning through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM toys are an ingenious way to turn these important concepts into a fun toy! I am excited to partner with Guidecraft and tell you all about their amazing Grippies Builders! Which is perfect for ages 18+ months.

Did you know that Grippies Builders are the first STEM building toy system for toddlers!? How cool is that! I had the exciting opportunity to review their 20 piece set and as soon as it arrived, I couldn’t wait to get it open!

The brightly colored magnetic rods come in 4 different soft textures and connect to either themselves or to one of the magnetic balls. Watching my daughter connect one of the rods to a ball for the first time was such an exciting experience for her and me. She was amazed and mesmerized at the same time!

Constructing a straight line is a great way for your toddler to start learning how to connect the pieces of this toy. They can see how different ends of the magnet attract and repel. My daughter was certainly intrigued when she felt the push and pull of the north and south poles. After figuring that out, she started attaching the balls. She soon found that you can’t attach a ball to another ball and started working her way around this to create her own personal masterpiece.

My daughter’s level of concentration while playing with this toy impressed me. She was so enamored with all that you could do with it and all the possibilities, that I could practically hear the wheels turning in her head! This toy is a winner in our books, for sure! There are hours of entertainment to be had, and parents won’t mind playing with it too!

To sum it all up, this toy is fantastic! I love how the magnetic play teaches our children how to build and construct while being fun and educational at the same time. While they are playing and exploring they are learning engineering basics, which is absolutely amazing! That’s not something that your average toy will teach your child, that’s for sure!

  13. This is such an awesome toy! I absolutely love that they are magnetic! No more watching my littles ones get frustrated when their blocks/mega blocks topple over. I also think the different textures is a cool learning feature as well. :)
